A brand new map incorporating open running, technical school options, a bridge to cross and a tunnel to go through, made for an exciting event. Competitors ignored the bridge sign directing no running as the first leg was the choice to decide the King and Queen of the mountain. Many thought Paul Pacque was mighty cruel as they took off on the grueling upward climb into the technical school area. Donelda Niles carrying an injury became our chief photographer for the day capturing many great shots. Our youngest active member, Alice Patten, delighted us all wearing her new EVOC singlet. Winners today were Matthew Patten in the long who opened his Tasmanian treat immediately, some Tasmanian Leatherwood Honey, a real sugar fix. Newcomer Imogen Williams won the short and also posted the fastest time for the event. Fastest in the long was again Jack Wickham.
