Over the long weekend we had orienteers doing their thing in both St Helens and Melbourne. It's certainly a sport that takes you to great places and with great people. And there are a lot more fun opportunities for everyone coming up.
Enter now for Coles Bay on Sunday 29 March.
Enter now for Coles Bay! The forest is looking so good for orienteering, with low bracken and good runnability. It's a terrific opportunity to practice orienteering in complex granite before Easter.
And the courses will be great, with Bernard course setting and Clare controlling. They're using the same area of the map as the 2015 World Cup middle distance.
And as another bonus - on Saturday 28 March - Cathy is running a night-o score event around the Coles Bay township. Pre entry required for both events!

Knocking off Knocklofty
Perfect weather and the great orienteering terrain at Knocklofty provided challenges for the 200 people who enjoyed the multiple route choices designed by Zali and Jett McComb.
Cumulative results for the first 4 weeks are here. Remember that we count your best 4 efforts from the first 5 events in the series, so there is one more week to go and positions will definitely change as you drop off your poorest run.
The 6th and final week of the series will feature the Southern Schools Championships at Risdon Brook Dam. The format will be different to a normal Twilight event – more information on this shortly.
Next week we head off to Taroona Beach to attempt the courses set by first-timers Steve and Ashleigh Watson. The emphasis will be on taking wise route choices.
